Joel MacLeod, Executive Chairman

Joel is a Chartered Accountant who currently owns ~32% (non-diluted) of Highwood’s common shares and was the founding CEO in 2012. Mr. MacLeod brings a successful track record of generating significant shareholder returns (including Predator Oil, Predator Midstream, Battle River, Fireweed).Mr. MacLeod has over 20 years of oil and gas experience and has been involved in transactions totaling over $5 billion in value. Previously was Founding Chairman and CEO of Tidewater Midstream and Infrastructure Ltd. and Founding Executive Chairman and CEO of Tidewater Renewables Ltd.

Greg Macdonald, President & CEO, Director

Greg is a Professional Engineer with over 20 years of oil and gas experience in Canada and the U.S. Previously, Mr. Macdonald was the VP, Engineering of Tidewater Midstream & Infrastructure Ltd., a public oil & gas midstream company; prior thereto, Mr. Macdonald worked in various engineering roles at both private and public oil and gas companies.

Kelly McDonald, VP Exploration

Mr. McDonald is a Professional Geologist with over 25 years of oil and gas experience in Canada and the US. Mr. McDonald has been an officer in a number of oil and gas companies over the last 10 years and has been intricately involved in exploration and development of both conventional and unconventional assets across North America. Mr. McDonald has been actively involved in over 30 oil and gas acquisitions ranging from $100,000 to $150 Million. Mr. McDonald obtained a Bachelor of Science with a Specialization in Geology from the University of Calgary in 1995 and is a Professional Geologist in the Province of Alberta.

Chris Allchorne, CFO

Mr. Allchorne is a Chartered Accountant with over 15 years of financial and management expertise with public and private companies. He obtained his Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Calgary in 2010 and received his Chartered Accountant designation in September 2013. Prior to becoming the Chief Financial Officer of Highwood in September 2021, Mr. Allchorne held the position of Controller at Highwood since January 2017. Mr. Allchorne articled and was a former manager with a mid-sized Calgary based accounting firm.

Ryan Petkau, VP Operations

Mr. Petkau joined Predator Oil Ltd. and Predator Midstream Ltd. in 2014 and was appointed Vice President Operations for Highwood Asset Management in Sept 2023. Mr. Petkau was instrumental in Highwood’s growth in the Clearwater of gross operated production from zero to approximately 2000 bbls/day with the drilling and related production and optimization of approximately 20 Clearwater multilateral wells. Mr. Petkau has over 22 years of diverse industry experience on all aspects of operations including production, construction, optimization, and safety. Prior to joining Predator/Highwood he held positions of increasing responsibility at Encana Corporation, Enterra Energy, Conoco Phillips Canada, Crew Energy.
